SUCCESS STORY
| Mohammad Awais a 17 year old boy who had a year long history of
multiple neck swellings. Frequent headaches and high blood pressure was
initially seen at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital on 27th
January 2000. He was diagnosed to be suffering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
His treatment which consisted of three cycles of chemotherapy was
concluded in May 2000 and the post treatment evaluation showed complete
remission of the disease. He is now completely well.
Awais Shares a special bond with SKMCH&RC as a result of the love and care that he received during his treatment. | He is presently an enthusiastic and active member of the SKMCH&RC Sunehri Kiran Club for teenage patients and aims to continue to render voluntary services to the Hospital in its fight against cancer in the future.
He is a brilliant student of class X at a local school with a special interest in art and calligraphy for which he is seeking professional help and guidance, we hope his dream to become a renowned calligrapher of Pakistan comes true.
